The demo license agreement is simple, please read.
1) PicPuter may not be used for any nefarious purposes.
2) PicPuter may not be embedded in any commercial products unless proper licenses are obtained.
3) Flash Locations $100-$1ff and all eeprom locations are part of PicPuter's Copy Protection, and are protected by some rather draconian u.s. laws.
4) PicPuter is provided as-is, there is absolutely no warranty whatsoever.
5) You accept that picputer may have bugs that may make things go haywire, PicPuter should not be hooked up to anything that could be considered dangerous.
6) Before using PicPuter, you must agree that PicPuter is not fit for any particular purpose.
7) Failing to abide by these rules is solely the liability of the rule breaker.
The latest version is Version 1.80 it is still a beta containing a few bugs but is definately getting better. I hope to have it fully debugged as I write the manual, please let me know if you run into any bugs. This version requires a PIC16F877 or PIC16F876 and a 18.432MHz crystal and PortC.0 needs to be tied high at reset or you will enter the failsafe bootloader. The RS232 signal, CTS, has been moved from PortC.5 to PortC.0. RTS is still optional but you can not ^c paste to host unless it is hooked up. The RS232 signal, RTS, has been added on PortA.4 and is also optional. Ideally this version should be run on official PicPuter hardware.
The demo version only allows 64 statements to be modified, numbered 64-127, the full version has over 1020. The demo version does not autorun your basic program, you must type run.
That said, you can do quite a bit in 64 statements. All of the examples on this site are well under 64 statements.
