I am selling PicPuter hardware once again, at a reduced price. If you bought a hardware PicPuter from me, I will send you another unit free of charge. I will email everybody, but if your email changes as often as mine (to reduce spam), just send an email to 'general (at) picputer (dot) net' to recieve your free PicPuter.

PicPuter's Right Side PicPuter is an advanced alternative for a microcontroller basic. It contains features unheard of in other products, like a assembler/ disassembler, no PC front end, built in Analog to Digital Converters and linear interpolated lookup tables. And best of all it is free to try. Just mosey on down to the download area and pick up your copy today.

You can use it to write programs in BASIC for home automation, robotics, or to log external events. You can even use it as an Alarm Clock.

Why pay 100 dollars or more just to run basic programs on a PIC microcontroller when you can do it for FREE! Unlike other microcontroller basic solutions, PicPuter is fully Linux, Macintosh, Windows, Solaris, Amiga, C64, compatible. The only external requirement is a Terminal Program. This is because it is entirely self contained, containing a shell, editor, and interpreter all in a 4K instruction footprint. Your programs are even stored in internal nonvolatile flash ram, ensuring they are retained even without a battery.

PicPuter features easy access to most of the PIC16F87x internal registers by name (PORTA=PORTA AND 1), full peek and poke capability of internal flash ram (*$600=0), and advanced features such as vectors and assembly support. Because of its powerful but easy to use design, it can be used by beginners and experts alike.

I often need a simple self contained program running on a microcontroller, but do not have the time to start from scratch. With PicPuter simple applications can be written effortlessly in minutes.
